Obviously the premise of the vn will make me seem inherently biased but I can't describe the interactions between the two main characters as anything other than the author's generally right-leaning political tract, including several genuinely bigoted lines that go completely unacknowledged and instead treated as the protagonist "caring way too about things that literally don't matter". And I don't just mean the "casual homophobia" included in the content warning, there's both inclusion of severe transphobia and occasional uses of ableist language on the conservative's part that are both never fully acknowledged and not even mentioned in the warnings.

There's a degree of centrism that the premise necessarily requires but the vn goes far and beyond to depict the protagonist as being incapable of arguing any point whatsoever, constantly falling all over himself for Benjamin like basic empathy for others is as unreasonable as only wanting rich supermodels, and constantly being swayed by Ben saying really basic shit like "they should care about making movies good before making woke movies" or whatever. Every point the protagonist has is like narratively tied to their negative character trait of being overly judgemental even when it concerns things completely non-applicable to it.
Either the vn fails miserably to make the basic premise work, or instead wants you to believe that the conservative is in the right when it comes to saying extreme bigotry is just "not my problem" or describing transness as "castrating yourself and forcing strangers to refer to yourself as they/them" and then never getting criticized on these points in any way. And the "the character's beliefs do not represent our own" doesn't mean anything when this is what the overall narrative seems to want you to take away from it.

Also at one point the old man complains about "tankies" that support terrorism - where did he learn that word? That kind of unrealistic tangent only contributes to the sense that the narrative is a weird vehicle for the author's ideological diatribes. If you want something about a liberal and a conservative falling in love and having sex pick up one of those cheap gay erotica e-books they make by the dozen instead of playing this, you'll probably find one with the same premise that isn't so bizarrely charged.

I very much like what you were able to accomplish in the time frame.  I also appreciate how ChellayTiger's works often address differing values in a balanced, open way... as a closeted middle-aged bear who grew up and still lives in a very conservative rural area, I don't have the same life experiences many others who like this genre do, so it's nice to have something I can somewhat  relate to. 😊

Of course, the completed artwork is also excellent, as expected.  I feel like the story was well-paced, and acheived what it set out to do.

Also, I was surprised to hearing my track at the theater... thanks for using it!  I never got around to adding other songs to the community assets tab after my initial few, but I'm glad someone got some use out of it.

And while I'm still not sure every date has it's progs and cons, this one sure did!
