Arches is a horror VN that's got some romance in it. No choices, just a straight, linear story where the main characters happen to be a gay couple, related to the larger "Echo" universe seen in both Echo and The Smoke Room.
For what it is, Arches is a well-written story. It's equal parts romantic, sad, and suspenseful, and it does all of these things pretty well. The lack of choices and relatively short run-time means it's a brisk read that I did in a day. It is a story that, and the end of the day, is about hope, and I think there's something that really resonates with me personally.
Devon, Cameron, and Arturo are all great characters, and I enjoyed my time getting to know them. I wanted to see more of them, which I think is a sign that Arches does exactly what it should with the time that is has. Recommended for those looking for a good, quick read.

The story was horrible!....And I mean that as a good thing, you guys managed to catch the tension and emotions of the scenes with such amazing art, and the story itself was so well written, plus I got, Nearing the end and reading what happened afterwards made me honestly sad 0-0. 10/10!!!!

This Visual Novel did not break me like Echo did but despite that, it did manage to cause me to sob and cry out "no nooo! god no! not that! ohh god no not him! please not this way, let them have a happy ending ohh god why?!" so it succeeded in its intent to cause emotional devastation.

Dont know if this will get more updates or not but AMAZINGG. I feel like Arches did psychological horror better than Echo, and loved revisiting Echo!! Bit disappointed how short it was compared to tsr and echo but super fun!! 9.0/10

Just, incredible. Utterly devastating and moving in nearly every way. Even though it is a standalone title it just has me more excited to go back and revisit Echo again.
